As a third generation farmer in the Brazos River Bottom, Mark Carrabba is very knowledgeable with crops, especially cotton, and of course with marketing his cotton. Mr. Carrabba joined Beltwide Cotton four years ago to serve as a marketing tool for his crops. He considers cotton to be a world crop that needs the attention and expertise of a world marketer. Mr. Carrabba has said there ins’t enough time in a day for one individual to absorb enough information to be effective in cotton marketing decisions. Mark is involved in numerous business enterprises in Bryan, Texas. Agriculturally related, Mark serves as a Director for Beltwide Cotton, Scarmardo Gin Company, Bryan Cotton Warehouse and was recently appointed to the Brazos River Authority. He has served as a director for the Bryan Business Council, St. Joseph Hospital Foundation and the Brazos County Appraisal District Review Board. Mr. Carrabba is married to Kay Schwartz. There 20 years of marriage is blessed by two sons, Ross and Travis. Both are still teenagers, but may someday become fourth generation Carrabba farmers. In his free time, Mark likes hunting with his sons and traveling with Kay.
